Japan: fantastic places beyond ‘the Golden Triangle’ Tokyo – Kyoto – Osaka (day trips and longer)
Hi Arvind, my Japan itinerary was as follows:
day 1 arrive at Tokyo Narita airport, train to Snow Monkey Park, stay at onsen (see article)
day 2 Matsumoto day trip and then further to Tokyo by train
day 3 Tokyo (see articles)
day 4 Tokyo
day 5 to Kawaguchi Lake near Mt Fuji, spend 1 night there (see article)
day 6 to Magome, walk the Nagasendo Trail Magome to Tsumago, stay at onsen
day 7 to Kyoto, Nara and Himeji
day 8 Kyoto bamboo forest (see article)
day 9 Kyoto
day 10 to Kobe, Hiroshima and Miyajima island (see article)
day 11 to Huis ten Bosch near Nagasaki
day 12 to Kawachi and Fukuoka
day 13 fly out to Seoul (Korea)
If you can add a few nights here and there that would be perfect.
